We use several methods of communication:

  • News Letter – News letters are produced by residents volunteers and delivered to each door on occasions. If you would like to volunteer for this task or have a great idea please contact Carol.

Garbage / Recycling
Garbage is collected three times a week by Texas Pride Disposal, Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings. No garbage service is offered on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

There is no designated heavy trash day. You can dispose of one heavy trash items such as furniture on any garbage service day. The item should be disposed beside the dumpster. You cannot dispose of dirt, rocks, bricks, concrete, liquid paints, fuels, oils, tires, pesticides, fertilizer, batteries and all construction debris. At this time we would like to ask you to be courteous to your neighbors, do not overload the garbage containers and do not leave containers open.

Recycling is collected once a week and it should be disposed in gray container. The boxes should be broken down and the following items are currently not accepted as recyclables (contaminated recycling will be disposed as a trash):

Pool
Pool hours are from 9:30 am to 10:30 pm Sunday trough Thursday, and 9 am to 11:30 pm Friday and Saturday.  No lifeguard is on duty.  You will need a key to enter the pool.  To receive a key, contact the management company at 281.232.7659.

Clubhouse
The clubhouse can be rented to residents for personal functions, social clubs or business activities. The funds collected for rentals will pay for clubhouse maintenance, water and electricity. For a list of guidelines and application form, refer to the clubhouse page.

Deed Restrictions / ACC
When you bought your home or signed your lease, you received a copy of the deed restrictions. If you are thinking of doing any exterior improvements to your property, first read the deed restrictions. You will learn about what is allowed and what is prohibited in our neighborhood. The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) and the Board are also here to help you interpret and follow the deed restrictions. To report deed restriction violation or ACC violation please click here.

Security
Oakhurst has contracted with HPD for supplemental security. For all security emergencies please call 911, for non-emergencies please call 713-884-3131. If you witnessed the crime and would like to make your neighbors aware, please click here.
